Know that thus H3541 said H559 the LORD H3068 of the king H4428 that sits H3427 on the throne H3678 of David, H1732 and of all H3605 the people H5971 that dwells H3427 in this H2063 city, H5892 and of your brothers H251 that are not gone H3318 forth H3318 with you into captivity; H1473

For I have set H7760 my face H6440 against this H2063 city H5892 for evil, H7451 and not for good, H2896 said H5002 the LORD: H3068 it shall be given H5414 into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon, H894 and he shall burn H8313 it with fire. H784

And Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah H3063 and his princes H8269 will I give H5414 into the hand H3027 of their enemies, H341 and into the hand H3027 of them that seek H1245 their life, H5315 and into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon's H894 army, H2428 which are gone H5927 up from you.

For though H518 you had smitten H5221 the whole H3605 army H2428 of the Chaldeans H3778 that fight H3898 against you, and there remained H7604 but wounded H1856 men H582 among them, yet should they rise H6965 up every man H376 in his tent, H168 and burn H8313 this H2063 city H5892 with fire. H784

Then Zedekiah H6667 the king H4428 sent, H7971 and took H3947 him out: and the king H4428 asked H7592 him secretly H5643 in his house, H1004 and said, H559 Is there any word H1697 from the LORD? H3068 And Jeremiah H3414 said, H559 There is: for, said H559 he, you shall be delivered H5414 into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon. H894

And the Chaldeans H3778 burned H8313 the king's H4428 house, H1004 and the houses H1004 of the people, H5971 with fire, H784 and broke H5422 down H5422 the walls H2346 of Jerusalem. H3389

And he did H6213 that which was evil H7451 in the eyes H5869 of the LORD, H3068 according to all H3605 that Jehoiakim H3079 had done. H6213

And it came H1961 to pass in the ninth H8671 year H8141 of his reign, H4427 in the tenth H6224 month, H2320 in the tenth H6218 day of the month, H2320 that Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 came, H935 he and all H3605 his army, H2428 against H5921 Jerusalem, H3389 and pitched H2583 against H5921 it, and built H1129 forts H1785 against H5921 it round H5439 about.

And in the fourth H7243 month, H2320 in the ninth H8672 day of the month, H2320 the famine H7458 was sore H2388 in the city, H5892 so that there was no H3808 bread H3899 for the people H5971 of the land. H776

But the army H2428 of the Chaldeans H3779 pursued H7291 after H310 the king, H4428 and overtook H5381 Zedekiah H6667 in the plains H6160 of Jericho; H3405 and all H3605 his army H2428 was scattered H6327 from him.

And the king H4428 of Babylon H894 slew H7819 the sons H1121 of Zedekiah H6667 before his eyes: H5869 he slew H7819 also H1571 all H3605 the princes H8269 of Judah H3063 in Riblah. H7247

And the prince H5387 that is among H8432 them shall bear H5375 on his shoulder H3802 in the twilight, H5939 and shall go H3318 forth: H3318 they shall dig H2864 through the wall H7023 to carry H3318 out thereby: he shall cover H3680 his face, H6440 that he see H7200 not the ground H776 with his eyes. H5869

And I will scatter H2219 toward every H3605 wind H7307 all H3605 that are about H5439 him to help H5828 him, and all H3605 his bands; H102 and I will draw H7324 out the sword H2719 after H310 them.

Therefore H3651 thus H3541 said H559 the Lord H136 GOD; H3069 As I live, H2416 surely H518 H3808 my oath H423 that he has despised, H959 and my covenant H1285 that he has broken, H6331 even it will I recompense H5414 on his own head. H7218

But Baruch H1263 the son H1121 of Neriah H5374 sets H5496 you on against us, for to deliver H5414 us into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans, H3778 that they might put us to death, H4191 and carry H1540 us away captives H1540 into Babylon. H894

But Johanan H3110 the son H1121 of Kareah, H7143 and all H3605 the captains H8269 of the forces, H2428 took H3947 all H3605 the remnant H7611 of Judah, H3063 that were returned H7725 from all H3605 nations, H1471 where H834 H8033 they had been driven, H5080 to dwell H1481 in the land H776 of Judah; H3063

So they came H935 into the land H776 of Egypt: H4714 for they obeyed H8085 not the voice H6963 of the LORD: H3068 thus came H935 they even to Tahpanhes. H8471

Take H3947 great H1419 stones H68 in your hand, H3027 and hide H2934 them in the clay H4423 in the brick kiln, H4404 which H834 is at the entry H6607 of Pharaoh's H6547 house H1004 in Tahpanhes, H8471 in the sight H5869 of the men H582 of Judah; H3064

And when he comes, H935 he shall smite H5221 the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 and deliver such as are for death H4194 to death; H4194 and such as are for captivity H7628 to captivity; H7628 and such as are for the sword H2719 to the sword. H2719
