IfH3588 one be foundH4672 slainH2491 in the landH127 whichH834 the LORDH3068 your GodH430 givesH5414 you to possessH3423 it, lyingH5307 in the field,H7704 and it be not knownH3045 whoH4310 has slainH2491 him:
2
Then your eldersH2205 and your judgesH8199 shall comeH3318 forth,H3318 and they shall measureH4058 to the citiesH5892 whichH834 are roundH5439 about him that is slain:H2491
3
And it shall be, that the cityH5892 which is nextH7138 to the slainH2491 man,H376 even the eldersH2205 of that cityH5892 shall takeH3947 an heifer,H5697 whichH834 has not been workedH5647 with, and whichH834 has not drawnH4900 in the yoke;H5923
4
And the eldersH2205 of that cityH5892 shall bring downH3381 the heiferH5697 to a roughH386 valley,H5158 whichH834 is neitherH3808 earedH5647 norH3808 sown,H2232 and shall strike off the heifer'sH5697 neckH6203 thereH8033 in the valley:H5158
5
And the priestsH3548 the sonsH1121 of LeviH3878 shall comeH5066 near;H5066 for them the LORDH3068 your GodH430 has chosenH977 to ministerH8334 to him, and to blessH1288 in the nameH8034 of the LORD;H3068 and by their wordH6310 shall everyH3605 controversyH7379 and everyH3605 strokeH5061 be tried:
6
And allH3605 the eldersH2205 of that city,H5892 that are nextH7138 to the slainH2491 man, shall washH7364 their handsH3027 overH5921 the heiferH5697 that is beheadedH6202 in the valley:H5158
7
And they shall answerH6030 and say,H559 Our handsH3027 have not shedH8210 thisH2088 blood,H1818 neitherH3808 have our eyesH5869 seenH7200 it.
8
Be merciful,H3722 O LORD,H3068 to your peopleH5971 Israel,H3478 whomH834 you have redeemed,H6299 and layH5414 not innocentH5355 bloodH1818 to your peopleH5971 of Israel'sH3478 charge.H7130 And the bloodH1818 shall be forgivenH3722 them.
9
So shall you putH1197 awayH1197 the guilt of innocentH5355 bloodH1818 from amongH7130 you, whenH3588 you shall doH6213 that which is rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORD.H3068
10
WhenH3588 you goH3318 forthH3318 to warH4421 againstH5921 your enemies,H341 and the LORDH3068 your GodH430 has deliveredH5414 them into your hands,H3027 and you have taken them captive,H7617
11
And seeH7200 among the captivesH7633 a beautifulH3303 H8389 woman,H802 and have a desireH2836 to her, that you would have her to your wife;H802
12
Then you shall bringH935 her homeH8432 to your house,H1004 and she shall shaveH1548 her head,H7218 and pareH6213 her nails;H6856
13
And she shall putH5493 the raimentH8071 of her captivityH7633 from offH5921 her, and shall remainH3427 in your house,H1004 and mournH1058 her fatherH1 and her motherH517 a fullH3117 month:H3391 and afterH310 that you shall goH935 in to her, and be her husband,H1167 and she shall be your wife.H802
14
And it shall be, ifH518 you have noH3808 delightH2654 in her, then you shall let her goH7971 where she will;H5315 but you shall not sellH4376 her at allH3605 for money,H3701 you shall not makeH6014 merchandiseH6014 of her, becauseH8478 H834 you have humbledH6031 her.
15
IfH3588 a manH376 haveH1961 twoH8147 wives,H802 oneH259 beloved,H157 and anotherH259 hated,H8130 and they have bornH3205 him children,H1121 both the belovedH157 and the hated;H8130 and if the firstbornH1060 sonH1121 be hers that was hated:H8146
16
Then it shall be, whenH3117 he makes his sonsH1121 to inheritH5157 that whichH834 he has,H1961 that he mayH3201 not make the sonH1121 of the belovedH157 firstbornH1069 beforeH6440 the sonH1121 of the hated,H8130 which is indeed the firstborn:H1060
17
But he shall acknowledgeH5234 the sonH1121 of the hatedH8130 for the firstborn,H1060 by givingH5414 him a doubleH8147 portionH6310 of allH3605 that he has:H4672 for he is the beginningH7225 of his strength;H202 the rightH4941 of the firstbornH1062 is his.
18
IfH3588 a manH376 haveH1961 a stubbornH5637 and rebelliousH4784 son,H1121 which will not obeyH8085 the voiceH6963 of his father,H1 or the voiceH6963 of his mother,H517 and that, when they have chastenedH3256 him, will not listenH8085 to them:
19
Then shall his fatherH1 and his motherH517 lay holdH8610 on him, and bringH3318 him out to the eldersH2205 of his city,H5892 and to the gateH8179 of his place;H4725
20
And they shall sayH559 to the eldersH2205 of his city,H5892 ThisH2088 our sonH1121 is stubbornH5637 and rebellious,H4784 he will not obeyH8085 our voice;H6963 he is a glutton,H2151 and a drunkard.H5435
21
And allH3605 the menH582 of his cityH5892 shall stoneH7275 him with stones,H68 that he die:H4191 so shall you putH1197 evilH7451 awayH1197 from amongH7130 you; and allH3605 IsraelH3478 shall hear,H8085 and fear.H3372
22
And ifH3588 a manH376 have committedH1961 a sinH2399 worthy of death,H4194 and he be to be put to death,H4191 and you hangH8518 him onH5921 a tree:H6086
23
His bodyH5038 shall not remainH3885 allH3885 night on the tree,H6086 but you shall in any wise buryH6912 him that day;H3117 (for he that is hangedH8518 is accursedH7045 of God;H430) that your landH127 be not defiled,H2930 whichH834 the LORDH3068 your GodH430 givesH5414 you for an inheritance.H5159
