And he beganG756 againG3825 to teachG1321 by the seaG2281 side:G3844 and there was gatheredG4863 to him a greatG4183 multitude,G3793 soG5620 that he enteredG1684 intoG1519 a ship,G4143 and satG2521 in the sea;G2281 and the wholeG3956 multitudeG3793 was by the seaG2281 onG1909 the land.G1095
2
And he taughtG2258 G1321 them manyG4183 things by parables,G3850 and saidG3004 to them in his doctrine,G1322
3
Listen;G191 Behold,G2400 there wentG1831 out a sowerG4687 to sow:G4687
4
And it cameG1096 to pass, as he sowed,G4687 someG3588 G3303 fellG4098 by the wayG3598 side,G3844 and the fowlsG4071 of the airG3772 cameG2064 and devouredG2719 it up.
5
And someG243 fellG4098 onG1909 stonyG4075 ground, whereG3699 it hadG2192 not muchG4183 earth;G1093 and immediatelyG2112 it sprangG1816 up, becauseG1223 it hadG2192 noG3361 depthG899 of earth:G1093
6
But when the sunG2246 was up, it was scorched;G2739 and becauseG1223 it hadG2192 noG3361 root,G4491 it witheredG3583 away.
7
And someG243 fellG4098 amongG1519 thorns,G173 and the thornsG173 grewG305 up, and chokedG4846 it, and it yieldedG1325 noG3756 fruit.G2590
8
And otherG243 fellG4098 onG1519 goodG2570 ground,G1093 and did yieldG1325 fruitG2590 that sprangG305 up and increased;G837 and broughtG5342 forth,G5342 someG1520 thirty,G5144 and someG1520 sixty,G1835 and someG1520 an hundred.G1540
9
And he saidG3004 to them, He that hasG2192 earsG3775 to hear,G191 let him hear.G191
10
And whenG3753 he was alone,G2651 they that were aboutG4012 him with the twelveG1427 askedG2065 of him the parable.G3850
11
And he saidG3004 to them, To you it is givenG1325 to knowG1097 the mysteryG3466 of the kingdomG932 of God:G2316 but to them that are without,G1854 allG3956 theseG3588 things are doneG1096 in parables:G3850
12
That seeingG991 they may see,G991 and not perceive;G1492 and hearingG191 they may hear,G191 and not understand;G4920 lestG3379 atG3379 anyG3379 timeG3379 they should be converted,G1994 and their sinsG265 should be forgivenG863 them.
13
And he saidG3004 to them, KnowG1492 you not thisG5026 parable?G3850 and howG4459 then will you knowG1097 allG3956 parables?G3850
14
The sowerG4687 sowsG4687 the word.G3056
15
And theseG3778 are they by the wayG3598 side,G3844 whereG3699 the wordG3056 is sown;G4687 but whenG3752 they have heard,G191 SatanG4567 comesG2064 immediately,G2112 and takesG142 awayG142 the wordG3056 that was sownG4687 in their hearts.G2588
16
And theseG3778 are they likewiseG3668 which are sownG4687 onG1909 stonyG4075 ground; who,G3739 whenG3752 they have heardG191 the word,G3056 immediatelyG2112 receiveG2983 it with gladness;G5479
17
And haveG2192 noG3756 rootG4491 in themselves,G1438 and so endureG2076 but for a time:G4340 afterward,G1534 when afflictionG2347 orG2228 persecutionG1375 risesG1096 for the word'sG3056 sake, immediatelyG2112 they are offended.G4624
18
And theseG3778 are they which are sownG4687 amongG1519 thorns;G173 suchG3778 as hearG191 the word,G3056
19
And the caresG3308 of thisG3588 world,G165 and the deceitfulnessG539 of riches,G4149 and the lustsG1939 of otherG3062 things enteringG1531 in, chokeG4846 the word,G3056 and it becomesG1096 unfruitful.G175
20
And theseG3778 are they which are sownG4687 onG1909 goodG2570 ground;G1093 suchG3748 as hearG191 the word,G3056 and receiveG3858 it, and bringG2592 forthG2592 fruit,G2592 someG1520 thirty times,G5144 someG1520 sixty,G1835 and someG1520 an hundred.G1540
21
And he saidG3004 to them, Is a candleG3088 broughtG2064 to be putG5087 underG5259 a bushel,G3426 orG2228 underG5259 a bed?G2825 and not to be setG2007 onG1909 a candlestick?G3087
22
For there is nothingG3756 G5100 hid,G2927 whichG3739 shall not be manifested;G5319 neitherG3761 was anyG5100 thing keptG1096 secret,G614 but that it should comeG2064 abroad.G1519 G5318
23
If anyG1536 man haveG2192 earsG3775 to hear,G191 let him hear.G191
24
And he saidG3004 to them, Take heedG991 what you hear:G191 with whatG3739 measureG3358 you mete,G3354 it shall be measuredG3354 to you: and to you that hearG191 shall moreG4369 be given.G4369
25
For he that has,G2192 to him shall be given:G1325 and he that hasG2192 not, from him shall be takenG142 evenG2532 that whichG3739 he has.G2192
26
And he said,G3004 SoG3779 is the kingdomG932 of God,G2316 as ifG1487 a manG444 should castG906 seedG4703 intoG1909 the ground;G1093
27
And should sleep,G2518 and riseG1453 nightG3571 and day,G2250 and the seedG4703 should springG985 and growG3373 up, he knowsG1492 not how.G5613
28
For the earthG1093 bringsG2592 forthG2592 fruitG2592 of herself;G844 firstG4412 the blade,G5528 thenG1534 the ear,G4719 afterG1534 that the fullG4134 cornG4621 in the ear.G4719
29
But when the fruitG2590 is broughtG3860 forth,G3860 immediatelyG2112 he putsG649 in the sickle,G1407 becauseG3754 the harvestG2326 is come.G3936
30
And he said,G3004 WhereuntoG5101 shall we likenG3666 the kingdomG932 of God?G2316 orG2228 with whatG4169 comparisonG3850 shall we compareG3846 it?
31
It is likeG5613 a grainG2848 of mustardG4615 seed,G4690 which,G3739 when it is sownG4687 in the earth,G1093 is lessG3398 than allG3956 the seedsG4690 that be in the earth:G1093
32
But when it is sown,G4687 it growsG305 up, and becomesG1096 greaterG3187 than allG3956 herbs,G3001 and shootsG4160 out greatG3173 branches;G2798 soG5620 that the fowlsG4071 of the airG3772 mayG1410 lodgeG2681 underG5259 the shadowG4639 of it.
33
And with manyG4183 suchG5108 parablesG3850 spokeG2980 he the wordG3056 to them, as they were ableG1410 to hearG191 it.
34
But withoutG5565 a parableG3850 spoke,G2980 G2398 he not to them: and when they were alone,G2596 G2398 he expoundedG1956 allG3956 things to his disciples.G3101
35
And the sameG1565 day,G2250 when the evenG3798 was come,G1096 he saidG3004 to them, Let us passG1330 overG1330 to the otherG4008 side.G4008
36
And when they had sentG863 awayG863 the multitude,G3793 they tookG3880 him even as he was in the ship.G4143 And there were also with him otherG243 littleG4142 ships.G4142
37
And there aroseG1096 a greatG3173 stormG2978 of wind,G417 and the wavesG2949 beatG1911 intoG1519 the ship,G4143 soG5620 that it was nowG2235 full.G1072
38
And he was in the hinderG4403 part of the ship, asleepG2518 onG1909 a pillow:G4344 and they awakeG1326 him, and sayG3004 to him, Master,G1320 careG3199 you not that we perish?G622
39
And he arose,G1326 and rebukedG2008 the wind,G417 and saidG2036 to the sea,G2281 Peace,G4623 be still.G5392 And the windG417 ceased,G2869 and there was a greatG3173 calm.G1055
40
And he saidG2036 to them, WhyG5101 are you soG3779 fearful?G1169 howG4459 is it that you haveG2192 noG3756 faith?G4102
41
And they fearedG5399 G5401 exceedingly,G5401 G3173 and saidG3004 oneG240 to another,G240 WhatG5101 G686 mannerG686 of man is this,G3778 that evenG2532 the windG417 and the seaG2281 obeyG5219 him?
