NowH4994 will I singH7891 to my well belovedH3039 a songH7892 of my belovedH1730 touching his vineyard.H3754 My well belovedH3039 has a vineyardH3754 in a very fruitfulH1121 H8081 hill:H7161
2
And he fencedH5823 it, and gathered out the stonesH5619 thereof, and plantedH5193 it with the choicestH8321 vine,H8321 and builtH1129 a towerH4026 in the middleH8432 of it, and alsoH1571 madeH2672 a wine pressH3342 therein:H8432 and he lookedH6960 that it should bringH6213 forthH6213 grapes,H6025 and it broughtH6213 forthH6213 wildH891 grapes.H891
3
And now,H6258 O inhabitantsH3427 of Jerusalem,H3389 and menH376 of Judah,H3063 judge,H8199 I prayH4994 you, betweenH996 me and my vineyard.H3754
4
WhatH4100 could have been doneH6213 moreH5750 to my vineyard,H3754 that I have not doneH6213 in it? why,H4069 when I lookedH6960 that it should bringH6213 forthH6213 grapes,H6025 broughtH6213 it forthH6213 wildH891 grapes?H891
5
And nowH6258 go to; I will tellH3045 you whatH853 H834 I will doH6213 to my vineyard:H3754 I will takeH5493 awayH5493 the hedgeH4881 thereof, and it shall be eatenH398 up; and breakH6555 down the wallH1447 thereof, and it shall be troddenH4823 down:
6
And I will lay it waste:H1326 it shall not be pruned,H2168 norH3808 dig;H5737 but there shall comeH5927 up briersH8068 and thorns:H7898 I will also commandH6680 the cloudsH5645 that they rainH4305 no rainH4306 on it.
7
For the vineyardH3754 of the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 is the houseH1004 of Israel,H3478 and the menH376 of JudahH3063 his pleasantH8191 plant:H5194 and he lookedH6960 for judgment,H4941 but beholdH2009 oppression;H4939 for righteousness,H6666 but beholdH2009 a cry.H6818
8
WoeH1945 to them that joinH5060 houseH1004 to house,H1004 that layH7126 fieldH7704 to field,H7704 tillH5704 there be noH657 place,H4725 that they may be placedH3427 aloneH905 in the middleH7130 of the earth!H776
9
In my earsH241 said the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 Of a truthH518 H3808 manyH7227 housesH1004 shall be desolate,H8047 even greatH1419 and fair,H2896 withoutH369 inhabitant.H3427
10
Yes,H3588 tenH6235 acresH6776 of vineyardH3754 shall yieldH6213 oneH259 bath,H1324 and the seedH2233 of an homerH2563 shall yieldH6213 an ephah.H374
11
WoeH1945 to them that riseH7925 up earlyH7925 in the morning,H1242 that they may followH7291 strong drink;H7941 that continueH309 until night,H5399 till wineH3196 inflameH1814 them!
12
And the harp,H3658 and the viol,H5035 the tabret,H8596 and pipe,H2485 and wine,H3196 are in their feasts:H4960 but they regardH5027 not the workH6467 of the LORD,H3068 neitherH3808 considerH7200 the operationH4639 of his hands.H3027
13
ThereforeH3651 my peopleH5971 are gone into captivity,H1540 because they have noH1097 knowledge:H1847 and their honorableH3519 menH4962 are famished,H7458 and their multitudeH1995 driedH6704 up with thirst.H6772
14
ThereforeH3651 hellH7585 has enlargedH7337 herself,H5315 and openedH6473 her mouthH6310 withoutH1097 measure:H2706 and their glory,H1926 and their multitude,H1995 and their pomp,H7588 and he that rejoices,H5938 shall descendH3381 into it.
15
And the meanH120 manH120 shall be broughtH7817 down,H7817 and the mightyH376 manH376 shall be humbled,H8213 and the eyesH5869 of the loftyH1364 shall be humbled:H8213
16
But the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 shall be exaltedH1361 in judgment,H4941 and GodH410 that is holyH6918 shall be sanctifiedH6942 in righteousness.H6666
17
Then shall the lambsH3532 feedH7462 after their manner,H1699 and the wasteH2723 places of the fatH4220 ones shall strangersH1481 eat.H398
18
WoeH1945 to them that drawH4900 iniquityH5771 with cordsH2256 of vanity,H7723 and sinH2402 as it were with a cartH5699 rope:H5688
19
That say,H559 Let him make speed,H4116 and hastenH2363 his work,H4639 that we may seeH7200 it: and let the counselH6098 of the HolyH6918 One of IsraelH3478 draw nearH7126 and come,H935 that we may knowH3045 it!
20
WoeH1945 to them that callH559 evilH7451 good,H2896 and goodH2896 evil;H7451 that putH7760 darknessH2822 for light,H216 and lightH216 for darkness;H2822 that putH7760 bitterH4751 for sweet,H4966 and sweetH4966 for bitter!H4751
21
WoeH1945 to them that are wiseH2450 in their own eyes,H5869 and prudentH995 in their own sight!H6440
22
WoeH1945 to them that are mightyH1368 to drinkH8354 wine,H3196 and menH582 of strengthH2428 to mingleH4537 strong drink:H7941
23
Which justifyH6663 the wickedH7563 for reward,H7810 and takeH5493 awayH5493 the righteousnessH6666 of the righteousH6662 from him!
24
ThereforeH3651 as the fireH784 devoursH398 the stubble,H7179 and the flameH3852 consumesH7503 the chaff,H2842 so their rootH8328 shall be as rottenness,H4716 and their blossomH6525 shall goH5927 up as dust:H80 becauseH3588 they have castH3988 away the lawH8451 of the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 and despisedH5006 the wordH565 of the HolyH6918 One of Israel.H3478
25
ThereforeH5921 H3651 is the angerH639 of the LORDH3068 kindledH2734 against his people,H5971 and he has stretchedH5186 forth his handH3027 againstH5921 them, and has smittenH5221 them: and the hillsH2022 did tremble,H7264 and their carcassesH5038 were tornH5478 in the middleH7130 of the streets.H2351 For allH3605 thisH2063 his angerH639 is not turnedH7725 away, but his handH3027 is stretchedH5186 out still.H5750
26
And he will liftH5375 up an ensignH5251 to the nationsH1471 from far,H7350 and will hissH8319 to them from the endH7097 of the earth:H776 and, behold,H2009 they shall comeH935 with speedH4120 swiftly:H7031
27
NoneH369 shall be wearyH5889 norH3808 stumbleH3782 among them; noneH3808 shall slumberH5123 norH3808 sleep;H3463 neitherH3808 shall the girdleH232 of their loinsH2504 be loosed,H6605 norH3808 the laceH8288 of their shoesH5275 be broken:H5423
28
WhoseH834 arrowsH2671 are sharp,H8150 and allH3605 their bowsH7198 bent,H1869 their horses'H5483 hoofsH6541 shall be countedH2803 like flint,H6864 and their wheelsH1534 like a whirlwind:H5492
29
Their roaringH7581 shall be like a lion,H3833 they shall roarH7580 like youngH3715 lions:H3715 yes, they shall roar,H5098 and lay holdH270 of the prey,H2964 and shall carryH6403 it away safe,H6403 and noneH369 shall deliverH5337 it.
30
And in that dayH3117 they shall roarH5098 againstH5921 them like the roaringH5100 of the sea:H3220 and if one lookH5027 to the land,H776 beholdH2009 darknessH2822 and sorrow,H6862 and the lightH216 is darkenedH2821 in the heavensH6183 thereof.
