O give thanksH3034 to the LORD,H3068 for he is good:H2896 for his mercyH2617 endures for ever.H5769
2
Let the redeemedH1350 of the LORDH3068 sayH559 so, whomH834 he has redeemedH1350 from the handH3027 of the enemy;H6862
3
And gatheredH6908 them out of the lands,H776 from the east,H4217 and from the west,H4628 from the north,H6828 and from the south.H3220
4
They wanderedH8582 in the wildernessH4057 in a solitaryH3452 way;H1870 they foundH4672 noH3808 cityH5892 to dwellH4186 in.
5
HungryH7456 and thirsty,H6771 their soulH5315 faintedH5848 in them.
6
Then they criedH6817 to the LORDH3068 in their trouble,H6862 and he deliveredH5337 them out of their distresses.H4691
7
And he ledH1869 them forth by the rightH3477 way,H1870 that they might goH3212 to a cityH5892 of habitation.H4186
8
Oh that men would praiseH3034 the LORDH3068 for his goodness,H2617 and for his wonderfulH6381 works to the childrenH1121 of men!H120
9
For he satisfiesH7646 the longingH8264 soul,H5315 and fillsH4390 the hungryH7456 soulH5315 with goodness.H2896
10
Such as sitH3427 in darknessH2822 and in the shadowH6757 of death,H6757 being boundH615 in afflictionH6040 and iron;H1270
11
BecauseH3588 they rebelledH4784 against the wordsH561 of God,H410 and contemnedH5006 the counselH6098 of the mostH5945 High:H5945
12
Therefore he broughtH3665 downH3665 their heartH3820 with labor;H5999 they fellH3782 down,H3782 and there was noneH369 to help.H5826
13
Then they criedH2199 to the LORDH3068 in their trouble,H6862 and he savedH3467 them out of their distresses.H4691
14
He broughtH3318 them out of darknessH2822 and the shadowH6757 of death,H6757 and brokeH5423 their bandsH4147 in sunder.
15
Oh that men would praiseH3034 the LORDH3068 for his goodness,H2617 and for his wonderfulH6381 works to the childrenH1121 of men!H120
16
For he has brokenH7665 the gatesH1817 of brass,H5178 and cutH1438 the barsH1280 of ironH1270 in sunder.
17
FoolsH191 becauseH1870 of their transgression,H6588 and because of their iniquities,H5771 are afflicted.H6031
18
Their soulH5315 abhorsH8581 all manner of meat;H400 and they draw nearH5060 to the gatesH8179 of death.H4194
19
Then they cryH2199 to the LORDH3068 in their trouble,H6862 and he savesH3467 them out of their distresses.H4691
20
He sentH7971 his word,H1697 and healedH7495 them, and deliveredH4422 them from their destructions.H7825
21
Oh that men would praiseH3034 the LORDH3068 for his goodness,H2617 and for his wonderfulH6381 works to the childrenH1121 of men!H120
22
And let them sacrificeH2076 the sacrificesH2077 of thanksgiving,H8426 and declareH5608 his worksH4639 with rejoicing.H7440
23
They that goH3381 downH3381 to the seaH3220 in ships,H591 that doH6213 businessH4399 in greatH7227 waters;H4325
24
TheseH1992 seeH7200 the worksH4639 of the LORD,H3068 and his wondersH6381 in the deep.H4688
25
For he commands,H559 and raisesH5975 the stormyH5591 wind,H7307 which liftsH7311 up the wavesH1530 thereof.
26
They mountH5927 up to the heaven,H8064 they goH3381 downH3381 again to the depths:H8415 their soulH5315 is meltedH4127 because of trouble.H7451
27
They reelH2287 to and fro, and staggerH5128 like a drunkenH7910 man, and are at their wit'sH2451 end.H1104
28
Then they cryH6817 to the LORDH3068 in their trouble,H6862 and he bringsH3318 them out of their distresses.H4691
29
He makes the stormH5591 a calm,H1827 so that the wavesH1530 thereof are still.H2814
30
Then are they gladH8056 becauseH3588 they be quiet;H8367 so he bringsH5148 them to their desiredH2656 haven.H4231
31
Oh that men would praiseH3034 the LORDH3068 for his goodness,H2617 and for his wonderfulH6381 works to the childrenH1121 of men!H120
32
Let them exaltH7311 him also in the congregationH6951 of the people,H5971 and praiseH1984 him in the assemblyH4186 of the elders.H2205
33
He turnsH7760 riversH5104 into a wilderness,H4057 and the springsH4161 H4325 into dryH6774 ground;
34
A fruitfulH6529 landH776 into barrenness,H4420 for the wickednessH7451 of them that dwellH3427 therein.
35
He turnsH7760 the wildernessH4057 into a standingH98 water,H4325 and dryH6723 groundH127 into springs.H4161 H4325
36
And thereH8033 he makes the hungryH7456 to dwell,H3427 that they may prepareH3559 a cityH5892 for habitation;H4186
37
And sowH2232 the fields,H7704 and plantH5193 vineyards,H3754 which may yieldH6213 fruitsH6529 of increase.H8393
38
He blessesH1288 them also, so that they are multipliedH7235 greatly;H3966 and suffers not their cattleH929 to decrease.H4591
39
Again, they are diminishedH4591 and broughtH7817 lowH7817 through oppression,H6115 affliction,H7451 and sorrow.H3015
40
He poursH8210 contemptH937 on princes,H5081 and causes them to wanderH8582 in the wilderness,H8414 where there is noH3808 way.H1870
41
Yet sets he the poorH34 on highH7682 from affliction,H6040 and makesH7760 him familiesH4940 like a flock.H6629
42
The righteousH3477 shall seeH7200 it, and rejoice:H8055 and all iniquityH5766 shall stopH7092 her mouth.H6310
43
WhoeverH4310 is wise,H2450 and will observeH8104 theseH428 things, even they shall understandH995 the loving kindnessH2617 of the LORD.H3068
